FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does my hair need to be before waxing?

For the best results, hair should be at least ¼ inch long, about the length of a grain of rice. This gives the wax enough hair to grip and remove it properly from the root.

How often should I get waxed?

Most clients should schedule their wax every 4–6 weeks, depending on their individual hair-growth cycle. Staying consistent can help keep your results smoother and make future appointments easier.

How long does a Brazilian wax take?

A Brazilian wax typically takes 15 minutes or less, although appointment time can vary slightly depending on hair growth and your individual needs.

Can I get waxed while MY CYCLE IS ON?

Yes! You can still receive a Brazilian wax while on your period. Simply wear a fresh tampon during your appointment. Keep in mind that some people are a little more sensitive around their cycle, so the wax may feel slightly more uncomfortable than usual.

How do I prevent ingrown hairs after waxing?

Home care is essential. After your waxing service, you need to ensure you prevent ingrown hairs. The skin will close over the follicles and new hair may get trapped causing ingrown hairs. Gently exfoliate 3–4 times a week. Start this routine 2–3 days after the waxing treatment. It is essential that you perform this routine between days 3–10 after your wax service. Remember to not over exfoliate as this can cause damage to the skin. Follow your exfoliation with an enriching and nourishing moisturiser. This process will prevent ingrown hairs and ensure that your next wax is easier and less painful.

Is there anything I need to avoid after getting waxed?

For the first 48 hours avoid anything that will cause friction, hot showers, tubs, pools, touching the skin, sun exposure, tight fitted clothing, gyms, & swimming.

Do I wax women with HS (Hidradenitis Suppurativa), PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), & Hirtuism?

YES, absolutely. ALL SKIN TYPES ARE WELCOME. Also, double dipping is always a no go regardless of the client. I personally enjoy having clients with skin conditions because it’s more intriguing & I’m able to tap into my profession more.

How old do I have to be to get a Brazilian wax?

18+. Under 18 requires parental consent.
